        WELCOME to the WEB site of the
" Baltic NGO Network Against Drugs".

"Baltic NGO network against drugs" is created in framework of Nordic Council of Ministers' funding programme for NGOs in the Baltic Sea Region. Network coordinator - "Drug Abuse Prevention Centre" (St.-Petersburg).

As you journey through the site, you will find out more about what the Baltic Network is doing to promote closer ties between Nordic, Baltic, Russian, Byelorussian NGO in the drug and AIDS prevention field. This site, which includes information both in English and Russian, also acts as a gateway to a great deal more news and background on the drug policy in Baltic region.

Workshop on psycho-social service delivery in Lithuania [26. May. 2009 - 17:49]

3 day workshop on psycho-social service delivery in Lithuania was realized. 5 representatives of Belarus NGOs and 5 representatives of Russian NGOs took part in workshop. The workshop was organised by DAPC and KDAPG. Participants have familiarized with whole system of psychosocial service providing.

Study tour to Oslo. [19. Apr. 2009 - 12:36]

The study tour to Oslo was realized by 5 members of 3 NGOs from St.-Petersburg. The meetings with  “Actis”, “ Bla Kors Norge”, “Juvente”, “Ungdom Mot Narkotika” took places from 14th to 16 th April 2009.

Second stage of the project [17. Feb. 2009 - 19:21]

NGO “Drug Abuse Prevention Centre" (St.-Petersburg, Russia) has started second stage of  the project “Creation of the Baltic NGO network against drugs" in the framework of the “Nordic Council of Ministers' funding programme for NGOs in the Baltic Sea Region”. In 2009 some seminars and trainings on NGO management, on  psychosocial service for drug users and HIV-infected, on partnership of authorities and NGOs and on NGOs sustainability will be realized in Oslo, Klaipeda, V.Novgorod and St.-Petersburg.

New project [ 3. Jun. 2008 - 16:41]

First six months of the project “Participatory approach to limit spread of drug use among young people” have came to the end. The project is realized by partnership of United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (Regional office for Russia and Belarus), The NGO Drug Abuse Prevention Center (St Petersburg, Russia) and The Mentor Foundation, UK under TACIS Institution Building Partnership Programme (IBPP)-Support to Civil Society and local Initiatives. Some advocacy visits, seminars, trainings and workshops were realized in St. Petersburg, V. Novgorod, Kazan, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg with paticipation of more than 100 specialists and volunteers  from more than 30 NGOs.

Annual review/planning meeting [19. Nov. 2007 - 13:45]
The 2 day annual review/planning meetings was held on  16-17th of November in St. Petersburg for 9 representatives (DAPC, UMN, ECAD, KDAPG, “Belarusian Association of the UNESCO clubs”, Fund "The future without drugs"). The meeting has allowed to review achievements for the first year and to prepare detailed work plan for the second year of the project, including planning of launch psycho-social services in 3 cities of NW Russia, experience exchange meetings on the psycho-social service delivery and etc. DAPC was responsible for organization of the meeting.
